MUCH TOO LATE

In the dark silence of her bedroom, her senses were electrified. The loudness of his deep breathing mingled with the sound of her racing heart. His breath on her neck felt like fire, the steel blade against her throat like ice. He’d entered through her window, grabbing her from behind while she slept. One hand covered her mouth; the other held the blade to her throat. “Tell me that you love me” he whispered loosening his grip on her mouth. “I love you,” she answered, forcing the words. “Too late Mother,” he replied. “Much too late.” The blade cut deep.

Cindy is an author of many things. She “writes what her mind forces her to, which does not follow any particular genre.” It could be horror, fantasy, science fiction, mystery, Gothic romance or just straight fiction. Her writing can range from short story to novella to a full length novel. She lives in Ontario, Canada with her Husband and 20 year old Son.
